Osun Govt Denies Appointing Dr. Oluseun Ajayi As Adeleke’s Aide

The Osun State Government has denied appointing one Dr. Oluseun Ajayi, as Special Adviser on International Linkages to Governor Ademola Adeleke.

A release on Monday, by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Olawale Rasheed, said Ajayi’s appointment claim was false in its entirety noting that he was neither known to the governor nor offered any appointment from the state government.

It therefore warned the general public not to transact any business with him or according him any recognition.

According to the release: “Our attention has been drawn to a false claim by one Dr Oluseun Ajayi that he has been appointed a Special Adviser on International Linkages to Governor Ademola Adeleke.

“There is no truth in the claim. The said Ajayi is not in any way known to Mr Governor and was never at any time offered any appointment under whatever guise by the Government of Osun state.

“Members of the public, locally and internationally, are advised against granting any such official recognition to the said Ajayi or transacting any business with him on behalf of Osun state. The state government is not and will not be liable for any such transactions.

Checks by Osun Defender on the social media pages of Dr. Ajayi on LinkedIn and Instagram where he ‘purportedly’ announced his appointment shows that the posts have been deleted.

It will be recalled that Governor Ademola Adeleke had appointed a son of the former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Niyi Owolade, ‘Yemi Owolade to head the office on Global Investments and Partnership as his Special Adviser, a role Ajayi claimed to have been appointed to.

Efforts by Osun Defender to get the ‘controversial’ appointee to react to the story proved abortive as calls to his phone did not go through, while enquiries made via his social media accounts were not replied as at the time of this report.
