The state government of Osun on Tuesday denied receiving any Paris club refund from the Federal Government.
This is in response to claims by a group of pensioners in the state while protesting in Osogbo on Tuesday that Governor Oyetola’s administration has received a new tranche of Paris club refund from the Federal Government.
The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Oyetola, Mr Adeniyi Adesina in a statement said the government would make it public if it received any new Tranche of Paris club refund.
The government urged the protesters to be informed and stop misleading the public.
Adesina said “The Government of the State of Osun has not collected any Paris Club refund.
It is absolute falsehood for any group of people to be claimimg that some amount of intervention fund has been made available to the Governor Adegboyega Oyetola Administration.”
“Paris Club refund or any refund in any form, is never secretly disbursed.. Such payments are publicly announced.”
“Governor Oyetola at inception of his administration promised to run a transparent government. He is not going to renege on this.”
