Osun Guber: INEC Intensifies Pre-Election Preparations, Warn Against Malpractices, Vote Buying

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun State has stepped up its pre-election preparations, with the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Mutiu Agboke, holding stakeholders’ meetings across the state.
The meetings, held in Osogbo, Ede North and Ede South Local Government Areas, aimed to engage stakeholders and discuss security concerns, voter registration, and electoral guidelines
Dr. Agboke emphasized the importance of collective adherence to electoral guidelines, stating that no candidate would be declared winner without securing the mandate of voters.
He also warned against electoral malpractices, including vote buying and tampering with results
The INEC REC reiterated the commission’s commitment to conducting a free, fair and credible election, urging stakeholders to take responsibility for ensuring peaceful polls.
