Osun Gubernatorial Race: IPAC Accuses CP Olokode Of Being Biased

The Inter Party Advisory Council in Osun has accused the police of showing strong bias in the handling of political events in the state which has led to political tension ahead of the guber poll.

This was contained in a statement issued by the IPAC chairman, Wale Adebayo, in Osogbo on Thursday.
He said the police have so far demonstrated bias in the discharge of his constitutional mandate and this is not good for the image of the police.

The statement reads in part, “It is pertinent for the police commissioner to understand that the basic responsibility of the police is to maintain law and order in local areas by protecting members of the public and their property, preventing crime, reducing the fear of crime and improving the quality of life for all citizens.

“CP. Olawale Olokode has failed in all ramifications to deliver on the core mandate of policing and we are not only disappointed in him but we seek his urgent deployment from osun

“The Commissioner of police is shamelessly biased”, he stated.
