The State government of Osun has announced the reversal of the two journalists, purportedly redeployed to secondary school.
The two affected journalists are the Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, Mrs. Motunrayo Ayegbayo and the chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Mr. Adeyemi Aboderin.
The two journalists, who were working with the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation were redeployed to the classrooms in a letter issued by the Office of the Head of Service in the state.
But the Chairman of the OSBC, Mr. Kola Akanji, while making his remarks at an opening ceremony of 2018 press week the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Osun State Council announced the reversal.
Akanji explained that the deployment was done in error and was corrected immediately, urging newsmen to always uphold ethics of the profession.
