Labour leaders in Osun rose from an emergency meeting where it resolved to proceed on a three day warning strike.
This development comes after the government paid full salaries to all level of workers in the state for July 2018 with a commitment to clearing back log of arrears owed to a small percentage of the workforce.
This move by labour comes as a shock to government who have always seen the workers as partners in development of the state.
Feelers from Government quartets indicate that the opposition is attempting to set labour on a coalition path with government as the gubernatorial elections in the state draws ever nearer.
It is believed that the recent move by labour is tainted with political undertone geared towards embarrassing the government.
