A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Falilat Oyetunji popularly known as (Ero Arike) has called out the party’s “Yes/No Chairmen” and leadership over alleged mismanagement of local government funds reportedly collected a few weeks ago.
In a trending video, Ero Arike accused some party figures of diverting funds meant for the local governments, demanding transparency and immediate accountability from those involved.
She also threatened at the possibility of leaving the party if the issue is not addressed.
“Who will deny not knowing about my balm? Is it Kano, Abuja or Port Harcourt?” she asked rhetorically.
“Where is the local government funds? Why will someone brought the funds and vanishes into thinair? I want to know where the funds are, or was the money used for the welfare of the state? That funds can not just vanish like that.”
Ero Arike, visibly angered in the video, insisted that the funds “must be found,” stressing that the people are hungry and have not benefited in any way from the said funds.
“They can’t even say the money was used to secure palliatives for the people because there’s nothing like that,” she lamented.
“We want to know where the money is. If not, I may leave APC.”
She further appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene and ensure that the missing local government funds are traced and accounted for, saying the matter threatens the integrity of the party and the trust of the people.
