The leader, Irewole local government house of parliamentarians, Honourable Oyeleke Kazeem has debunked the news making the rounds on the impeachment of the Chairman of the Local Government, Honourable Remi Abass.
While speaking with journalist in his office in Ikire, Honourable Kazeem said there was no point in time during plenary that the local government chairman was suspended nor impeached.
He said a committee set up to look into the finances of the local government was only giving reports in the house in which no evidence of financial misappropriation was found before some unscrupulous elements present to observe the session went to the media to propagate “falsehood of what actually played out which was far away from reality.”
The leader of the house said ” I am using this medium to inform Osun state government, stakeholders, residents and more importantly Irewole local government residents that Honourable Remi Abass was never impeached as Irewole local government chairman and still remains the number one citizen of the local government, so people should desist from spreading fake news.”
