Osun Monarch Cautions Against Ethnic Division, Advocates For One Nigeria

Olowu of Kuta, Oba Ahmed Adekunle Oyelude, has condemned moves by some quarters to divide Nigeria along ethnicity.

He said this while addressing a delegation of students under the auspices of Chamber of Nigerian Comrades in his palace on Saturday, Oba Tegboosun said patriotism should overshadow divisive tendencies capable of setting Nigerians apart in arms against themselves.

Olowu cautioned against ethnic profiling of criminality and crimes, adding that such will create bad blood among ethnic groups who are expected to hold Nigeria together.

The traditional ruler further spoke against allowing foreign interference in issues that can expose Nigeria to ridicule and danger.

The Osun monarch made reference to the recent #EndSARS protest which was carried out with manipulations of individuals and groups with intentions to endanger security of lives in the southwest part of the country.
