Osun NSCDC Apprehends Barber For Stealing Dead Herbalist’s Property
The Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), said it has apprehended a 24-year-old bricklayer, Adedapo Ayobami, for stealing.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Command spokesperson, Kehinde Adeleke.
The suspect, a resides of number 13, Oja Oba, Osogbo, Osun state, allegedly broke into a house in the Osunjela area where he stole some items.
The stolen items include; a Plasma Television, ten cooking pots, 2 fry pans, two cable decoders, a solar panel with bulbs, curtains and other household items.

According to the State Commandant, Michael Adaralewa, the suspect was arrested on Thursday, 23rd May 2024 in the afternoon, at Osunjela area, Osun state by NSCDC personnel who were on patrol in the area.
The statement noted that the suspect in his confessional statement, noted that he knew the owner of the house before he died.
According to the statement, the suspect said the owner of the house was a herbalist whom he used to visit for consultations every month.
“He said there was a soup the herbalist used to give him every month to improve his financial status.
“He went to the herbalist’s house to collect the soap for May but on getting there, he was told the herbalist had died and went home disappointed.
“The following day Thursday, 23rd of May, he went back to the herbalist’s house, checked where he used to keep his key while alive, opened the door and carted away a Plasma television, cooking utensils, Solar Panel, bulbs, two different cable decoders and other household items.”
The state commandant noted that the offence is in contravention of Section 411 of the Criminal Code Act of Nigeria.
Adaralewa said an investigation revealed that, although people in the neighbourhood saw the suspect with a load on his head, nobody challenged him.
The Commandant enjoined members of the public to be security conscious, urging them to ask questions and report strange movements in their environment to security agencies.
