Osun NSCDC Nabs 27-Year-Old Who Specialises In Stealing Motorcycles In Ede
The Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), said it has apprehended a 27-year-old man, Wahab Saburi, who specialises in stealing motorcycles.
The Command in a statement by its spokesperson, Kehinde Adeleke, said the suspect, a resident of Obada Compound Ede, was arrested on 11th May 2024, at Oke-Ola Area, Ede.
According to the statement, Saburi who confessed to stealing motorcycles, said he started perpetrating the crime 3years ago.
He was said to have stolen a motorcycle parked in front of an apartment at Oke-Ola, Ede, on the day he was arrested.
The statement further said discreet investigation revealed that the suspect had stolen four motorcycles around Agip area, Ayo–Omoba and Obada before his arrest.
The statement said the suspect disclosed that he sold the stolen motorcycles to his buyers at the rate of Forty-Thousand Naira only (#40,000).
“He stated further that he has someone in a popular market in Ede, Osun State, who prepares sales agreement papers for him, which he, thereafter, gives to whoever buys the stolen motorcycles from him,” the statement added.
The state NSCDC Commandant, Michael Adaralewa, warned criminals to desist, promising the command readiness to rid the state of crimes.
