Osun Partners Fidelity Bank, UNIPRENEUR To Train Over 5,000 Youths

Osun Social Investment Focal Person has unveiled the state entrepreneurship programme to empower about 5,000 youths, especially entrepreneurs, job seekers, among others in the state.

In a statement signed by the Osun State Focal Person, Hon. Kehinde Ibitoye on Monday said the state is determined to empower over 5,00O job seekers through various entrepreneural skill acquisition programs

Ibitoye said the program is initiated to empower youths and job applicants across the State .

According to him entrepreneurship development learning initiative is powered by UNIPRENEUR, an international digital entrepreneurship e-learning platform in partnership with Osun State govt supported by Fidelity Bank Plc.

He said the aim of the initiative is to empower 5000 Osun state indigenous entrepreneurs, SMEs,job seekers,NYSC members,workers and graduating students to have access to the below stated tools:

“Get stimulated entrepreneurship knowledge economy ,Get access to over 600 profitable business ideas and stimulated business knowledge.

Others are; “Access to various business opportunities in Africa, Register your company with CAC and get access to other legal services and Get a logo/branding/website/app and Get access to various skills

Ibitoye stated that the first phase of this initiative will only allows the selected 5000 Osun State participants to seek entrepreneurship knowledge online and get certificate of learning at the end of 30days learning period which propose to kick start by May,1st to 30th 2023.

He said the certificate of learning will be ceremoniously handed over to all the participants by the Osun State Government in Oshogbo at the latter date to be agreed on by the stakeholders involved.

“This initiative is in tadem with the present administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke commitment to create job makers across the State who will inturn creates job opportunities for Osun State job seekers.

“The project was facilitated by the office of the focal person to Osun State Government via the Federal government social investment initiative led by Hon Kehinde Ibitoye.

Fidelity Bank commitment is to facilitate the opening of corporate and individuals accounts for all the 5000 participants,offering them SMEs loan to only qualify businesses and also provide other business banking support services for them subject to the bank procedures.

“The 5000 participants are expected to enjoy full support of the state government when the state eventually launched its small and medium enterprises programme.

“UNIPRENEUR elearning platform is founded by Olubunmi Oluwadare, a serial enterpreneur and author of the popular entrepreneurship development and Africa investment drive book “I SEE MONEY IN AFRICA”

“Presently Director,Strategy and Trade Relations at Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs (A.Y.E and Unipreneur access code will be sent to all the Osun State 5000 participants by May 1st,2023”.
