Osun Police Alert Residents To Proposed Blast In Ede

The Osun State Police Command has notified the general public especially the residents of Oke-Gada area, Ede, that there would be a controlled blast at the area today.

A statement by the Command Spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola noted that the blast would occur to aide the smooth completion of the ongoing road dualisation/construction of roads in Ede town.

The statement noted that the blast would be coordinated by the Osun Police Explosive Ordinance Department (EOD) to facilitate/enhance smooth and speedy construction of the road project by Osun State Ministry of Works.

“Therefore, members of the public, especially the residents of the area are advised to steer clear of the environment to prevent any unforeseen circumstances while being enjoined not to entertain any kind of fear/apprehension.

“The Police Command assures the members of public of adequate security of lives and property,” the statement noted.
