Osun Poll: PPC’s Candidate Vows To Work With Governor-Elect, Oyetola

The Candidate of Providence People’s Congress, PPC, in the just concluded gubernatorial election in the State of Osun, Prof. Ifeoluwa Adewumi, has promised to support the administration of the Governor-elect, Gboyega Oyetola.
Addressing press men in Osogbo on Tuesday, Adewumi who described Oyetola as a gentle, humble and am intelligent man, said he needs a technocrat like him (Adewumi) in a bid to achieve a successful administration.
The Professor who pulled 922 votes in the election, attributed this to the fact that government belongs to everybody and that it takes a collective effort to make the society and the country at large a better place.
Adewumi who stated that the election which saw the emergence of Oyetola was not totally free, fair and credible, however, said “I am ready to work with anybody declared winner.”
He added that not winning the election does not stop the his party from supporting the government.
“We have no problem working with any declared winner, either we are in power or not does not stop us from supporting the government. The declared winner has the full support of our party, we do not discriminate whoever God has chosen.”
Adewumi who is also a Reverend, promised to be the State spiritual Governor, praying for its progress and to support the government with his various programmes freely.
Commending the efforts of the present administration led by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Adewumi urged the incoming Governor to make workers’ salary and youth empowerment its priority.
Adewumi who revealed that he was returning to the classroom and his business, added that he had sent his manifestos to the campaign team of the Governor-elect for possible implementation.
