Osun Speaker Mourns Late HOA Corp Member, Condoles NYSC

The Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has mourned the death of a serving House of Assembly corps member, Ayomikun Juliana, who died last weekend after she allegedly applied the popular pesticide, Sniper, to her hair.

In a press statement personally signed by the speaker, a copy which was made available to newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital, he expressed sadness over the untimely death of the corps member.

The Speaker also commiserated with the family and friends of the deceased, the management of National Youth Service Corps, her colleagues at the State House of Assembly and the Government of the State of Osun.

“The death of Miss Juliana Ayomikun is very painful and quite unfortunate, I pray that the Almighty God grant her family the fortitude to bear the loss” he said.

He later used the opportunity to condemn the indiscriminate sales of Sniper and calls on relevant government agencies to put serious measures in place to avoid the continued abuse of the deadly substance.

Until her death, late Juliana was serving with the Technical Department of the State House of Assembly.
