The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly who also double as chairman, All Progressives Congress Campaign committee for the July 8 Senatorial By-Election in Osun West Senatorial District, Rt Hon Najeem Salaam has urged voters in the district not to sell their voter cards to money bag politicians ahead of the election.
Hon Salaam made the appeal on Thursday in Awo, Iragberi, Asa, Ido-Osun, Ofatedo, Dada Estate and Okinni all in Egbedore LG during the campaign for the party.
He described as mischievous plans by the opposition to persuade the electorate to release their voting power to Sudden politicians who would use and dump.
Other leaders who spoke during the tour include Prince Gboyega Famoodun, Osun APC chairman, Hon Abiodun Awolola, Hon Rasaq Salinsile, Hon Mojeed Alabi lauded the people of the areas for their support with a call on them to do more. They advised them not to sell their constitutional right to anybody.
The APC candidate for the by-election, Senator Mudashiru Husain reiterated the need for the voters to support the party in the area, stressing that Aregbesola-led administration has effected positively the lives of the people in the local government.
While urging the electorate to embrace peace during the election, Husain said it is only in this atmosphere that dividends of democracy can be felt further in the areas.
