Osun SSG Congratulates Oluwo On 50th Birthday
The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi (Telu I) has been described as a round peg in a round hole, who has been making all efforts to see to the uplifment of his people since he mounted the throne.
This was contained in a press statement issued and signed by a prominent indigene of the ancient town and Secretary to the Government of the State of Osun, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, while congratulating the frontline monarch on his 50th birthday.
According to Alhaji Adeoti, the monarch mounted the throne of his forefathers at a time many communities across the country were yearning for younger generation to lead them.
“Since he mounted the throne, Oba Akànbi has brought tremendous positive changes to the immediate environment in particular and the state in general through rehabilitation of township roads and other public infrastructures.
“This has also reflected in the monarch’s efforts in catering for the poor and needy in Iwoland through regular distribution of food and clothing materials.
“Widows and indigent students of Iwoland origin have never had it so good,” Alhaji Adeoti stressed.
The SSG therefore prayed that Oba Akanbi celebrates more of the day in good health, abundance and prosperity in the land of the living.
While further congratulating the monarch on his special day, Alhaji Adeoti appreciated him for promoting the image of the town through all his efforts in building bridges across the country as reflected in his numerous visits to fellow prominent traditional rulers in various geopolitical zones of the nation.
