Outcry As 1xBet Asks Customer To Provide Non-Gambling Addiction Document Signed By Medical Specialist Before Withdrawing N7m Win
An X user, lobistars @john322226, has called out a betting company, 1xBet Nigeria, for allegedly failing to pay people who win games on their website.
Lobistars, in a series of posts and screenshots on X, accused the betting site of withholding customers’ winnings.
The X user in one of the posts said a customer about N7m but has not paid for weeks, adding that the company asked him to provide documents that he did not have a gambling addiction.
In one of the screenshots shared online, a message sent to the winner allegedly by the betting company reads, “Dear customer, please provide us with photos of document, that confirms that you did not have gambling addiction. The document must be verified by medical specialist’s signature and stamp of the medical facility.”
In another post, lobistars claimed another person won N1.5 million from 1xBet and the company also requested some documents from the winner.
He added that the winner got frustrated and “gambled all his winning away on the 1xBet site”.
Responding to the X post, 1xBet Nigeria @1xbetngofficial, said verification process is a standard procedure for all users on its platform.

“Good day. Thank you for your post. Verification process is a standard procedure required for all users on our platform. Should any player experience difficulties during this process, they are always welcome to contact our support team for assistance. Best regards, 1xBet Team,” the post read.
However, lobistars @john322226 insisted
that medical report of not having a gambling addiction wasn’t listed on 1xBet site as a condition for withdrawal.
He said, “This is just a tactic to frustrate the gambler and make them gamble the money. Why is an addict allowed to gamble and lose but not allowed to withdraw until the report?”
