Owo Killings: Olu Falae Calls For The Creation Of State Police

The Presidential candidate of the Alliance for Democracy, AD and the All Peoples Party, APP alliance in 1999, Chief Olu Falae, has insisted that the creation of State Police is the way out of the security challenges confronting the country.

The elder stateman was a guest on “The Morning Show”, an Arise TV flagship programme monitored by Osun Defender reporter Tuesday morning.

Falae was speaking on the state of the nation, aftermath of the terrorists attack on a Catholic Church in Owo that killed dozens of worshippers.

The former finace minister also said the state and regional police were part of the security achitecture pre independence of Nigeria.

According to him, the nation as a matter of importance, needs a brand new constitution as a way forward for the progress and sustainability of Nigeria rather than the partial review been carried out by the national assembly.
