The event was graced by members of the OYES management committee, Mr Olu Odulaja and Mr Kola Omotunde-Young who doubles as Commissioner for Education and Mrs Mofolake Adegboyega Commissioner for Empowerment and Youth Engagements.
The Commandant of the OYES in his remarks was full of praises for the Mentors for being good ambassadors and assisting him in the discharge of his duties as “a tree cannot make a forest”, and that the modest achievements of the OYES under his watch as Commandant couldn’t have been possible without the Mentors and other support staff at the OYES HQ.
Describing the award of “Champion of Youth Empowerment and Engagement” conferred on him by the Mentors as a successful ambush, because he has refused to accept similar awards in the past as he does not want to be distracted in his assignments.
