Governor, State of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has restated his unwavering commitment to the service of the people of the Land of Virtue.
The Governor stated this in Ila Orangun while commissioning a new secretariat complex for Ila Central Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Thursday.
Governor Oyetola who congratulated the Management, staffers and the people of Ila Orangun for the milestone achieved, charged the LCDA not to rest on their oars at ensuring that the lofty ideals of his administration percolates to the grassroot.
He commended the Chairman for accomplishing the 22 room edifice despite the present economic reality, urging the ila community to make the best use of the facility.
The Governor who commended the Asiwaju of Ila Orangun who at different points in time served as the Governor of the State of Osun and foundational National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Adebisi Akande for being a good role model and rallying point of good governance, highlighting the monumental strides achieved while in office with specific mention of the gigantic State Secretariat Complex despite the poor economic reality of that period.
Mr. Oyetola who assured the good people of Osun that his administration will not rest on its oars at ensuring that every promise made to them is religiously kept, solicited for the support of all and sundry in his quest at transmogrifying the Land of Virtue into an enviable state of infrastructural Eldorado.
In his remarks at the programme, a former Governor of Osun who is the Asiwaju of Ila Orangun, Chief Adebisi Akande congratulated Governor Oyetola who he described as a silent individual who is preganant of monumental strides which he maintained has been largely manifested across the nooks and crannies of the state within the first quarter of his administration.
The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress who went down memory lane as to how local government areas came into existence in the country until much recently when Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) came into being congratulated Prince Ademola Kolawole led administration for the giant stride.
Chief Akande enjoined indigenes and residents of the State of Osun to give the present progressive administration in the state and Nigeria at large every needed support which he stressed is pivotal to achievement of good governance across the globe.
Delivering his welcome address at the programme, the Chairman, Ila Central Local Council Development Authority (LCDA), Prince Ademola Kolawole attributed the success of his administration to Almighty God and the the unprecedented support received from the current administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the State of Osun.
Prince Kolawole who listed what his administration has done within the short time in office which includes; grading of over 30km road networks across the LCDA, dredging of streams and carnals to prevent flood, provision of educational materials to pupils and schools in the LCDA among others, appreciate Almighty God in the exemplary leadership qualities of Governor Gboyega Oyetola who he described as a silent achiever whose successful story with the first quarter of assumption of office is unequalled.
The Chairman of Ila Central LCDA expressed confidence in the ability of the present Gboyega Oyetola’s administration to bequeathing unprecedented legacy, assuring the good people of Osun to be supportive of the present administration which he maintained is on the right path of taking the Land of Virtue to the biblical promised land given his pedigree and wealth.
