Oyetola’s Popularity Soars

By Dayo Fasola

Gboyega Oyetola, the Osun All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Candidate’s popularity and rating soars by the day as his campaign trail records impressive outings everyday with massive turnout of supporters and members of opposition daily switching allegiances.   Recall that the run up to Osun elections in just few days has seen to former Speaker of Osun state House of Assembly, Hon Adejare Bello who is from Ede, hometown of Senator Demola Adeleke, the PDP Governorship Candidate joining the APC with thousands of his supporters.

Following suit on Tuesday is Mrs Patricia Etteh declaring support for the APC candidate and his running, despite the rumour of her purported defection to another party from APC. Both highly respected leaders from Osun West Senatorial District.

At the impressive mega rally held at Ayedaade Grammar School, Ikire on Tuesday, Mrs Patricia Etteh addressed party faithful and informed them of her support for the APC and cited reasons, saying, “I am in awe of the APC Progressive ideals. The landmark achievements of Ogbeni Aregbesola in transforming Osun would be remembered for years to come. I am very glad of the choice of my younger brother, Benedict Olugboyega Alabi as the running mate to the foremost achiever, Mr Gboyega Oyetola. We can’t but support them”

Also speaking, Governor Rauf Aregbesola elaborated how Mr Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, a technocrat was massively elected by APC members, assuring the people of Irewole, Isokan and Ayedaade Federal Constituency of unprecedented development which would advance further the foundations laid by his administration once he and his running mate are elected in the September 22 governorship polls.

On the raging issue of modulated salaries of senior civil servants and the question of whether the APC government would resolve and settle all outstanding payments, a statement by the Gboyega Oyetola Campaign Organisation which was signed by its spokesperson, reassured the people on the commitment to ensure the challenge becomes a thing of the past.

It stated the issue of modulated salary became necessary to tackle dwindling fortunes at the time and to avoid possible necessity of retrenchment.

The statement reads further “The manifesto of Mr Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola with the Campaign promises and developmental programmes contained therein are well thought out and absolutely executable.

Our candidate, a man of impeccable character and proven integrity is more than capable to deliver on every single one of them.  You can hold us to our promises at all times”, it stated.
