The 2021 budget of the State of Osun is dedicated to post COVID-19 pandemic recovery.
Governor Adegboyega Oyetola who stated this on Tuesday while presenting N109.8bn as the project financial estimates of the state in the next fiscal year to members of the State House of Assembly.
Oyetola also stressed the need for an improvement in the state’s internally generated revenue as the 2020 budget was financed majorly with revenue from the federal government.
Receiving the budget tagged, “Budget of Providence”, the Speaker, Osun Assembly, Hon Timothy Owoeye commended the executive for making the 2020 budget live up to expectations despite the economic crisis occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic.
Owoeye asked the executive to increase ease of doing business and remove bottlenecks that could scare investors away from the State.
He said the State House of Assembly would continue to embark on effective oversight to ensure timely completion of government projects in the state.
