Oyetola Restates Commitment To Service Delivery

 

Governor Gboyega Oyetola has restated his undying commitment to the service of the people of Osun in line with his promise to them and the unflinching support received during the last governorship election in the state.

The Governor stated this in osogbo while playing host to the Medical and Dental Consultants of Nigeria, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Osogbo Chapter in his office on Wednesday.

Governor Oyetola told the visiting delegation of medical and dental consultants that his administration despite the paucity of funds has prioritized the welfare of the people and infrastructural development across the nooks and crannies of the state, citing the present massive revitalization of the health institutions as one of the several milestones of the present administration.

Mr. Oyetola who used the opportunity of the meeting to assure workers in the employment of the State Government of Osun of strong commitment to their welfare, maintaining that “half salary” has since become a thing of the past, stressed that having been familiar with their activities and predicament as Chief of Staff of the immediate past administration, his government will not leave any stone unturned at ensuring that the state owned health institution is given every needed support.

Governor Oyetola said his administration is committed to Financial Re-engineering and Cash flow Management which he affirmed are pivotal to successful unprecedented service delivery.

In his remarks at the programme, the Chairman, Medical and Dental Consultants of Nigeria, LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Chapter, Dr. Rasaq Akindele congratulated Governor Oyetola on his deserved victory at the governorship election and subsequent assumption of duty.

Dr. Akindele commended the Governor on the unprecedented achievements within the first 100 days in office in areas such as revitalization of health institutions across the state, stability of peaceful atmosphere, infrastructural development drive, reinvigoration of the mining sector, among others, listed a number of challenges the health institution is presently facing, assuring the Governor of collaborations in several areas of endeavour in the overall interest of the state as extended to his predecessors in the areas of free surgical mission, roll back malaria among others.

Present at the meeting were the Deputy Governor, State of Osun, Mr. Benedict Alabi, the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Wole Oyebamiji, the Head of Service, Dr. Olowogboyega Oyebade, Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Adeyanju Binuyo, Supervisor for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu, Supervisor for Works, Engr. Remi Omowaiye and Supervisor for Education, Mr. Kola Omotunde Young.
