Oyetola’s Hometown Seeks Clean Water System, Functional Healthcare Centres
THE sales of sachet alcohol, street extortion, and late-night loitering have been banned in Modakeke, Ife East Local Government Area of Osun State.
The move is to strengthen public safety and restore communal order.
Effective immediately, the sale of NAFDAC-unapproved beer and alcoholic sachet drinks at junctions and roadside locations has been strictly prohibited.
The authorities also announced a total ban on extortion by thugs or unauthorised individuals who harass motorists and pedestrians for money at junctions.
More so, for security and developmental reasons, residents are now required to remain indoors beyond 10:00 PM, except for essential purposes.
In a statement endorsed by the Ogunsua of Modakeke, Oba Joseph Olubiyi Toriola, alongside the President of the Modakeke Progressive Union (MPU) and the Youth Chairman, anyone found violating these directives will face strict legal consequences.
The community leadership emphasizes that these measures are aimed at safeguarding lives, improving public order, and ensuring that Modakeke continues on its path of peace, progress, and responsible development.
