The former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has been appointed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as chairman of its 25-member National Reconciliation Committee.

Also appointed as secretary of the committee was former Gombe State governor, Senator Ibrahim Dankwambo.

Osum Defender reports that the PDP has been grappling with internal discord since last year’s general elections, where they were defeated by the ruling All Progressives Congress.

In a statement issued on Friday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the PDP announced that the inauguration of the newly formed reconciliation committee will take place at a later date.
