Oyo Lawmaker Loses Undergraduate Son
Tragedy has struck the family of Hon. Bamidele Adeola, a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju Constituency, as his son, a 200-level student of Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, passed away on Friday after a brief illness.
The sudden death of the young undergraduate has thrown the Adeola family, friends, colleagues, and the university community into deep mourning.
In a show of solidarity, the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, on Saturday led a delegation to pay a condolence visit to the bereaved family.
Describing the incident as heartbreaking, Ogundoyin said the Assembly was deeply saddened by the tragic loss of a promising young life.
“This is a painful loss not just for Hon. Bamidele Adeola and his family, but for all of us who are his colleagues, friends, and fellow parents. Words cannot capture the sorrow we feel at this moment,” the Speaker said during the visit.
He extended condolences on behalf of the entire Oyo State House of Assembly and assured the Adeola family of the legislature’s prayers and support in this difficult time.
Surrounded by sympathisers, Hon. Bamidele Adeola expressed his gratitude to the Speaker and colleagues for their visit and the outpouring of love and solidarity from the public.
