The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has cast his vote in today’s local government election.
It was gathered that he voted at Polling Unit 1, Ward 11 in Ibadan North East Local Government Area in Ibadan.
He arrived at 10:17 am and voted five minutes later.
While speaking with newsmen, he commended the electoral committee for the smooth process.
He urged residents that are yet to vote to do come out and exercise their franchise.
He said, “It is going smoothly. As you can see, it has been peacefully. I thank everyone. Those that are yet to vote should come and vote so that we can count them among those that are ensuring democratic at grassroot.”
The election conducted by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission, OYSIEC, is being held across the 33 local government areas.
