The driver of the car, a young man whose identity could not be immediately ascertained, was said to have sustained minor injuries. He was reportedly rescued from the vehicle by onlookers and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Residents blamed the incident on reckless driving, with some alleging that the driver might have been under the influence of alcohol. Others pointed to the lack of speed bumps in the area as a contributing factor.
