There was pandemonium at Omigade Street, Ogo-Oluwa area of Oshogbo last Tuesday as a woman raised false alarm alleging that her child was missing. The woman popularly called Iya Sola in the neighbourhood hinted the street dwellers that her daughter had fallen into the Osun river.
According to the woman, her child fell into the river when returning home after school hours and need the help of the community members to rescue her. Her noise caught the attention of the people in the resident, some of whom run around to assist in looking for the missing child.
In the process of looking for the child, some residents insisted that considering the adequate security in the area, the child could only be assumed to have fallen in the river. The tension was eventually doused later in the day when the child was found in the street playing with her friends after school hour.
