Armed Thugs and security officials backed by the Imo State government on Friday successfully forced their ways into All-in-One Shop, a furniture and home utensils shop owned by the wife of the former governor of Imo State, Mrs Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha.
The agents led by Chief Jasper Ndubuaku, who is the Chairman of the Imo State Government empanelled Recovery Committee invaded the premises of the shop in spite of a subsisting investigation notice by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The agents reportedly waylaid the daughter of the former Governor and unlawfully impounded her vehicle claiming the car belongs to the government.
The government officials claimed to have been sent by the Chief Security Officer to Governor Emeka Ihedioha who was said to have offered the clampdown on Okorocha’s properties in the state.
Recall that on Tuesday, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC pounded on students and forcefully sealed up the Rochas Foundation college where thousands of poor children receive free education and other welfare packages.
The latest development sums up to the varying attempts by the sitting Governor in using executive fiat on all properties, institutions and individuals relating to former Governor, Rochas Okorocha.
