An explosion reportedly rocked the city of Jos on Tuesday morning, sending shockwaves through the densely populated Terminus Market area and surrounding communities.

The explosion, which occurred around 10:30 am, caused widespread panic, as residents and traders fled the scene in fear.

Eyewitnesses described the blast as deafening, with many recounting scenes of chaos and destruction.

A security source from the Plateau State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that an investigation had been launched to determine the source and nature of the explosion.

“The area has been secured, and we are working to establish the source and nature of the explosion. We urge the public to remain calm as we prioritize their safety,” the source said.
