Chaos erupted at LAUTECH in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on Monday when a police officer reportedly shot a student dead and wounded two others.
Reports indicate that the tragic event occurred when an unidentified police officer was called upon to resolve a dispute between two individuals on the school campus.
During the attempt to mediate, the officer allegedly fired shots into the air, resulting in the death of one student and injuries to two others.
The incident sparked a riot on the campus as students barricaded the school gates in protest, seeking justice for the deceased.
When contacted, SP Adewale Osifeso, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, said that he was busy but promised to revert.
