The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has responded to an AI-generated image circulating online, which portrays him as an alhaji dressed in Islamic garments.
Speaking during the first Holy Ghost Night of the year on Saturday, January 4, Adeboye addressed the viral image with a mixture of humor and spiritual insight.
The image, which surfaced in late December, shows Adeboye allegedly completing Hajj rituals in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
While addressing the congregation, Adeboye, with a calm demeanor, remarked, “I’m sure many of you saw that picture showing me as an alhaji.”

He dismissed the image as an obvious fabrication and expressed his faith in God’s ability to turn such distractions into opportunities to glorify His name.
In his sermon titled The Glory Ahead, Adeboye also touched on the presence of mockers and critics.
While predicting that many of such individuals might not survive the year, he emphasized that God desires repentance rather than destruction.
He reassured the congregation that the church remains steadfast in its mission, with prayers and fasting as powerful tools to overcome trials.
Adeboye used the moment to reflect on global and national issues, urging prayers for Nigeria and the world.
Highlighting the importance of the church’s ongoing 100-day fast, he called on the faithful to dedicate themselves to prayer for peace, progress, and divine intervention.
