The newly appointed chairman of the caretaker committee for Peoples Democratic Party, State of Osun, Mr Sarafa Isola has urged the members of the party to employ all efforts within reach and unite to sack All Progressives Congress in 2018 governorship poll in this state.
Speaking to journalists after holding an interactive session with the members of the PDP in both two party secretariats at Ogo-Oluwa and Biket areas of Osogbo, Isola added that the Party would reposition the PDP for an enviable future.
He maintained that he was committed to entrench internal democracy with the party and ensure all inclusiveness to rescue the state from the claws of poverty and frustration.
“The genuine cooperation and spirit of unity displayed by all the members of the party in Osun despite seeming differences among the major stakeholders, stronger pedestal had been put in place to dislodge the APC in the forthcoming gubernatorial poll.
While urging all the members not to rest in securing electoral victory for the PDP in the 2018 governorship election in Osun and general election of 2019, the caretaker chairman, said all hands must be on deck to salvage the ship of Nigeria.
Isola implored the PDP members in Osun to begin in earnest far reaching mobilisation of the masses and the electorate ahead of what he described as a crucial poll in 2018, which he said, would determining the future of the state.
Among the PDP leaders at the stakeholders meeting held in Osogbo, which was presided over by the caretaker chairman include the former deputy governor of the State of Osun and the party’s flag bearer in 2014 governorship election, Senator Iyiola Omisore, Senator Olu Alabi, Barrister Kayode Oduoye, Prince Diran Odeyemi, Barrsiter Adeyemo Adetise, Senator Olasunkanmi Akinlabi and former chairman of the party in the state, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa.
Others include Dr Bayo Faforiji, Prince Bola Ajao, former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Adejare Bello, former Minister of Youth Development, Senator Olasunkanmi Akinlabi, Barrister Niyi Owolade.
