PDP Chieftain, Peter ‘Power’ Leaves Party

The suspended chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun, Elder Peter Babalola, has resigned his membership of the party.

Babalola joins the growing list of ex-PDP bigwigs, including Prince Dotun Babayemi, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, and Barr. Kayode Oduoye, among others who have left the party in the last six months.

Osun Defender reports that Babalola, who is a former Chief of Staff in the state, was suspended by 17 executives of PDP Ward 7, Irewole Local Government, where he hails from.

The suspension, according to the executives was based on various anti-party activities of Babalola in the last two years.

But Babalola in a letter addressed to the state chairman of PDP, Hon Sunday Bisi, announced his exit from the party.
