PDP Leaders Visit Jandor, Ask Him To Withdraw Resignation

Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretary, Ude Okoye, alongside other party chieftains, has met with Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), the party’s 2023 governorship candidate in Lagos State, urging him to reconsider his resignation.
Adediran’s spokesman, Gbenga Ogunleye, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos.
OSUN DEFENDER reported that Jandor, leader of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, had announced his departure from the PDP on Monday, citing betrayal and lack of discipline within the party.
Barely 48 hours after his exit, PDP leaders visited his Abuja office, appealing to him to return.
“The PDP National Secretary, Ude Okoye; former National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan; and ex-House of Representatives member, Shina Peller, met with Adediran, urging him to reconsider his decision and rejoin the party,” Ogunleye said.

The delegation acknowledged his concerns but encouraged him to remain within the PDP.
In response, Adediran expressed gratitude for their support and assured them of his willingness to collaborate with allies despite political differences.
On Monday, he had announced that he left the PDP along with his supporters across Lagos State’s 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas.
OSUN DEFENDER recalls he attributed his decision to what he described as betrayal by party elders and the unresolved internal crisis within the Lagos PDP.
Adediran has yet to disclose his next political move but promised to reveal his plans in the coming months.
