Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola has said the Peoples Democratic Party which ruled the state for seven and a half year, did not do anything all through its rule, saying the party has no legacy to show for it.
Aregbesola said this on a breakfast show on TV Continental on Wednesday as parts of events marking his administration’s seven years in government.
Aregbesola noted that while the PDP has no legacy to show for their administration, his government has succeeded in building 50 years solid foundation in all sectors.
“We inherited a state with no infrastructure, no agriculture, no rail, no road and no security and within our seven years in government, we have been able to navigate a greater tomorrow for the state of Osun”, Aregbesola Added.
“PDP mischievous campaign cannot last because its members can see the reality on ground, they spent seven and a half year in Osun Government but has no legacy to show for it whereas our administration has succeeded in building 50 years solid foundation in all sectors.
“We are meeting every aspiration of our people. PDP and its cohorts are only jittery of what they were unable to do while in government.
“Our administration has spent over 200billion naira to pay workers’ salaries and pensions since 2010 when we assumed office and the totality of what we have spent so far on physical infrastructure is less than N60billion.
“We have also recorded a proportional geometric increase in the percentage of external examinations. We are rebranding Osun so as to build and put in place all we need and deserve as a people.” Aregbesola added.
