It has come to our attention the false alarm raised from some quarters of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), alleging the entry into the State of Osun an undisclosed amount of money claimed to have been conveyed into the state via some aircraft.
Residents of the state, electorate in particular are urged to turn deaf ears to, and disregard that thrash, which is not only false and fraudulaent; but also a malicious mischief and figments of imagination of the peddlars of the falsehood.
Let it be stated unequivocally, for the avoidance of doubts, that it is the same PDP that is culpable of vote buying; sharing a link online and distributing as much as N10,000 to each of those who click on the link. The link takes stock of details like bank accounts, voting units and other details that may suggest the authentic relevance of the respondent to the election exercise billed to take frontal seat in the state tomorrow. This could also be an attempt at flying on the privacy of victims’ PVCs, so as to clone and vote for them fraudulently by proxy.
It will not be out of place to observe the characteristic fraud perpetrated by the PDP end the election fever, the bout of which causes it to attempt castigating the other law-abiding and innocuous party with the clout and pedigree of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This false accusation portrays a sinking party already jittery of its impending loss at an elecoral contest. It is a gesture that speaks volumes on acceptance of defeat right before the outset of a contest.
