Peace And Security Central To My Administration – Oyetola

 

Governor, State of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has stated that peace and security are central to his administration.

The Governor stated this on Friday at the official launch of the recently unveiled operation puff adder by the Nigeria Police Force, in the State of Osun command at the State Police Headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital.

The Governor placed on record the numerous efforts of the present administration towards supporting all the security agencies in the state, commending the security agencies for being part of the recently successful security sensitization programme held recently in Osogbo.

The State Helmsman who appealed to the Nigeria Police Force to apply universal role of engagement in the discharge of their operations, assured the state command of adequate support in its quest at ridding the Land of Virtue of criminals and criminality.

Governor Oyetola urged the people to be consistently vigilant and report any strange movement and personalities in their locality to the security agencies who knows what to do to protect lives and property in the state.

In her welcome address at the event, the State Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Abiodun Ige welcomed the Governor to the official launch of operation puff adder, commending Governor Gboyega Oyetola for his great commitment to the security of lives and property in the State of Osun.

CP Ige stated that Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Mohammed Adamu, in his quest to put an end to banditry, launched operation puff adder on the 5th of April, 2019, stressing that the operation will rid our community of every form of crime and criminality through instruments of intelligence and community policing, saying getting to the level where every movement in our vicinity is of security concern to all and sundry is of great essence.

She stressed that loyalty and commitment of all and sundry are pivotal to nip in the bud criminal activities, adding that credible and timely information from members of the public are very germane.

Commander, Engineering Construction Command Ede, Brigadier Gen. A. O Agboola, State Director, DSS, Barrister Brown Ekwoaba, Representative of Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and the State Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Comrade Amitolu Shittu all commended the present Gboyega Oyetola’s administration on his proactive approach to the security of lives and property.
