People Hate Me Like Hell – Tinubu To Benue People (Video)
President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday said he is aware that many Nigerians hate him but insisted he remains committed to the safety and protection of all citizens, including his critics.
“Not everyone will like you in politics, they hate me like hell too. But I’m here, I am the President,” Mr Tinubu said at a meeting with stakeholders at the Benue State Government House in Makurdi.
He added, “Under democratic regime, I promised to protect my abusers and accusers. Abuse me all you want.”
Tinubu, who visited Benue to commiserate with victims of recent mass killings, ordered security agents to hunt down criminals terrorising the state.
“I know you people hate me like hell. Not everyone will like you in politics. But I am here. I am the President.”

He expressed shock that no arrest had been made over the Yelewata massacre, which left hundreds dead.
However, the president and Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, are now facing backlash after schoolchildren were made to line up in the rain to welcome Tinubu during his visit on Tuesday.
A viral video showed the children drenched as they waited along the roadside for the presidential convoy in Makurdi, despite a heavy downpour.
The incident happened even after the state government declared a public holiday on June 18 to honour Tinubu’s visit.
The holiday excluded essential workers such as health personnel, security agents, and bank staff, but citizens were encouraged to come out en masse to receive the president.
The backlash has intensified public criticism of the president’s visit, which many believe was turned into a political event despite the tragic circumstances.
