Peter Obi Visits Atiku, Lamido In Abuja, Sparks Political Speculation Ahead Of 2027 Elections
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), in the 2023 Presidential elections, Peter Obi, has paid a private visit to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, in their Abuja homes.
Atiku made this known in a post alongside photos via his official X handle (formerly Twitter) on Monday afternoon.
He wrote: โIt was my honour and privilege to host @PeterObi today.โ

A close associate of Obi disclosed that โhe paid a similar visit to Sule Lamido.
This visit comes as a significant development, given Obiโs political stature and his association with the ruling PDP.
This visitation has fueled speculation about potential political realignments and Obi’s aspirations for the 2027 general elections.
Osun Defender reports that Obi has been paying consultation visits to some notable politicians across political parties in recent times.
It is worth noting that Obi was previously in the PDP but dumped the party for LP in the build-up to the last general elections.
Atiku and Obi were the PDPโs presidential and vice presidential candidates in the 2019 elections.
However, the duo went their separate ways in the 2023 election over political interests.
Their latest reunion, however, has started generating a barrage of reactions on social media as many netizens speculated that the duo were plotting to form opposition ahead of the 2027 election.
