Afrobeat star Peter Okoye has pointed fingers at fans as the reason behind the split of the once-popular music duo, PSquare.

Speaking at the AYLIVE show, Peter said constant comparisons between him and his twin brother, Paul, sparked ego clashes and created rifts within the group.

“Fans are the reasons PSquare no dey together today. Two brothers dey do one thing, ona dey talk say one better pass one, e con enter one head, he begin misbehave. If ona like make ona dey go house, I no send una,” he stated.

Formed in 1997, PSquare rose to fame with hits like “E No Easy,” “Bizzy Body,” and “Personally.”

They were known for their electrifying performances and dominance in the Afrobeats scene.

The group officially disbanded in 2017 after prolonged internal conflicts involving their elder brother and manager, Jude Okoye, as well as disputes over finances and creative direction.
