Pharrell Is The First Man To Sport A Chanel Handbag In Latest Ad: Fashion

Pharrell Williams is well respected both in the music industry and the fashion world. The N.E.R.D. artist is known for his keen fashion sense and his work with Adidas but Skateboard P is now creating a new wave in the upcoming Chanel campaign.

Pharrell Williams, Chanel’s brand spokesperson, is the first man to appear in a handbag ad for the the renowned fashion house. Williams appeared in a recent short film for Chanel and even walked down the runway during the Métiers d’Art show at the Ritz Paris.

When interviewed after the Paris show, Pharrell admitted that Chanel and other high end brand seemed foreign but slowly they grabbed his attention. “I realized, slowly but surely, man, this is amazing. And although there’s mostly the perception that it’s for women, I just started to see, OK, as a man I can wear some of this. So I would wear sunglasses here, or a jacket there.”

The campaign is set to debut April 3 and will feature Kristen Stewart, Cara Delevigne, Caroline de Maigret and of course Mr. Williams himself.
