No fewer than eight persons sustained various degrees of injuries in a road accident along road on Tuesday in Osogbo.
The victims of the accidents were market women coming from the popular Owode market in Ede.
The accidents involved a mini commercial bus with registration number RLG 556 XA ,with market women as pasengers and a private Honda car with registration number AKD 895 CJ.
The honda car which was on a top speed, collided with the commercial bus and summersaulted with the four tyres facing up.
The scene of the accident was littered with raw food stuff and blood stain.
Governor Rauf Aregbesola, whose convoy was at the instance of accident have to come down from his vehicle to assist the victims.
Aregbesola , who was in the company of his Commissioner for Health , immediately called for ambulance service to take the victims to the hospitals for medical care.
Aregbesola also ensured that the two vehicles involved were removed from the road to ensure free flow of traffic before leaving the scene of the accident.
An eyewitness who spoke with newsmen said the driver of Honda car was at a full speed without fore-knowledge of speed breaker at the front.
The eyewitness said immediately the driver saw the bump, he suddenly applied the brake.
He said the car swerve from his lane and collided with the commercial bus.
It, however, took the intervention of the passers-by to turn the commercial bus, which four tyres were already facing up, to rescue the victims.
While all the eight market women in the commercial bus sustained various degrees, the driver of the Honda car came out unhurt.
The victims were taken to hospital by the State Ambulance Service to take care of the victims.
