The Jos club who won the Nigeria Professional Football League last season for the first time and are also debuting in the competition play against the former African champions in the first leg of the First Round fixture in Sousse on Wednesday.
The Nigerian champions last appeared on the continent in the year 2000, their only appearance until now and their adventure in the then CAF Cup winners’ Cup ended in the First Round.
But despite their lack of experience at this level, Odah insists they have the quality to scale through the hurdle.
“We know what we are up against. We are talking about one of the best teams in the continent, but we are not sacred of them,” the former Sharks, Warri Wolves and Lobi Stars goalkeeper told CSN.
“It is going to be 11 versus 11 on the pitch, so there is nothing to be afraid of. We just hope that the officiating will be fair as we are fully prepared and ready to give our best.
“We don’t care about their antecedents or history which has little or nothing to do on the pitch.
“It is the quality of players and zeal to win that will determine who emerge victorious at the end of the day.”
