The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced that successful candidates from the recently concluded 2022 police recruitment exercise are to begin their training on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at various Police colleges across the country.
This was contained in a statement on Thursday by Ikechukwu Ani, head of press and public relations at the PSC.
The PSC said that the training will run from August 10 to August 20.
Ani who confirmed their status on the Police Recruitment Portal (https://apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng) said they are expected to report for training.
Ani said: “The names of the candidates are already with the Management of the Colleges and will only admit persons whose names are on the list.
“The Commission wishes to state that it has rested the previous Portal, www.policeservicecommission.cloud where names were initially released after an elaborate meeting with the Police Management and where it was agreed that the Portal used from the beginning of the exercise should be sustained till the end to ensure fairness, justice and inclusivity in the recruitment process.

“Only candidates whose names appeared on the agreed Portal or who received official messages inviting him/her to report at the Colleges will be allowed for the training.
“Messages are currently being sent to successful candidates including Specialists who are to report for training between the 28th of September and 10th of October, 2024”.
The PSC chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu said the candidates should ensure that they report to the Colleges on the exact dates required of them.
He said the Commission will continue to monitor their progress throughout their stay in the training colleges to ensure they come out fully prepared to serve the nation and contribute to the fight to rescue the nation from banditry and terrorism.
Argungu said the Commission staff would be sent to the Colleges to monitor their conduct and disposition to the training.
The PSC boss assured that the Commission will continue to provide the enabling environment for them to give their best to the Nigerian nation.
He congratulated them on their success throughout the stages of the recruitment and enjoined them to be committed to the training so that at the end of the training exercise they would have improved themselves and ready to face the challenges that lay ahead of them.
