A 35-year-old man, Aremu Isiaka has been arraigned before an Osogbo magistrate court in Osun State for allegedly stealing phone at a wedding reception.
Isiaka was docked on Monday over two counts charges bothering on conspiracy, stealing of phone .
The prosecutor inspector Fagboyinbo Abiodun told the court that the defendant committed the offence on May 19 at about 1.05 pm at capital area in Osogbo.
He explained that the defendant stole one Techno 7C tablet handset valued 24,500 .
He submitted that the offense is contrary to and punishable under section 516 and 390(9) of the criminal code cap 34 volume 11 laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the two count charges ³eveled against him.
The defence counsel Mr Okobe Najite applied for the bail of the accused person in the most liberal terms, saying the accused person has a reliable and credible surety to stand for him.
The presiding magistrate Mrs Oloyade granted the suspect bail in the sum of 20,000 with one surety.
She said surety must swear to affidavit of means and must be a tax payer.
The case was adjourned to June 7 for hearing, adding that the accused person should be remanded if he could not perfect his bail condition.
