The Osun state Police Command, on Tuesday arraigned a 31-year-old-man, Oladimeji Abeeb before an Osogbo Magistrate Court over alleged stealing.
The prosecutor, Inspector Fagboyinbo Abiodun disclosed that the accused person broke the asbestos ceiling and entered the house of one Reverend Adekunle Joshua with intent to commit felony.
He informed the court that the accused person committed the offence on the 31st day of December, 2017 at about 9:30pm at Dada Estate area, in Osogbo.
He said that the accused person carted away one infinix hot 4 phone, one iPad phone, one cooking cylinder, food stuff, one purse and also the sum of N5,000.
Fagboyinbo further said that all the property valued N150,000 belonging to the victim.
He submitted that the accused person committed an offence contrary to and punishable under sections 516, 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap 411 (1), Vol.11 laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2003.
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge preferred against him.
Defence counsel, Mr. Okobe Najite applied for the bail of the accused in most liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mr Tunde Badmus granted the accused person bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in the same sum.
He said, the surety must reside within the court jurisdiction and produce evidence of three-year tax payments.
He thereby adjourned the case till 24th of April for hearing.
