Osun State Police Command has arraigned a 49 year old man, Tiamiyu Lateef on a one-count charge of fraud.
The accused person was said to have fraudulently collected N300,000 from one Aina James under a false pretence of selling one Acre of land to him.
The offence is contrary to and punishable under section 419 of the state penal code.
Police prosecutor, Inspector Olayiwola Rasaq told the court that the accused person committed the offence on the July 20, 2014 at Mosadoluwa community, Oke Baale area Osogbo.
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the charge leveled against him.
His counsel, Barrister Amaechi Ngwu prayed the court to grant him bail in the most liberal term, assuring the court that he would not jump the bail if granted.
In her ruling, Magistrate Mary Awodele granted the accused person bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in the same sum.
She adjourned the case till January 26, 2018 for hearing.
